Writing Update!

Writing update! I know, it's been a while. My life has been chaotic. My apologies.

 I've started writing a new book, and I haven't felt like this since I wrote Season Tickets after my mom's death. This is a book straight from my heart and it's pouring out of me. It mostly takes place in the Poconos, including Jim Thorpe, PA. If you haven't been, go. It's a magical place. I would live there in a heartbeat.

As many of you know, I have a love for the Appalachian trails. My very first love story, Fireflies, was about two determined outdoorsy teens, Will and Marley. Their love for the woods and feeling at peace in them draws them together. Well, it's also about aliens too, but, you get it.

Now that I'm writing adult romance, I'm finding myself back there--back on those trails I wandered when I was in college. This story is going to pack a punch to the heart, let me tell you. It's about connection, longing, showing strength, and sacrifice. Perhaps a little humor because it's me, but most importantly I'm going to take some chances and risks this time. It will be my lighthearted voice but it's not going to be all sunshine and rainbows. There's deep, raw, and sometimes tragic feelings in this one because sometimes life is like that. But never fear, I'll always come back in the end with the HEA our hero and heroine deserve, even if they don't realize it.
