Pining for You

Time for an update! I finished my newest novel last week. I did some edits and then spent the weekend decompressing. The first picture is me about to ride the scenic train in Jim Thorpe. It's my favorite, and there are multiple scenes that take place on the train in my new book. The second is me in the Dimmick Memorial Library in Jim Thorpe contemplating that I completed a draft in 2 1/2 weeks and I've never felt this excited about a book. Okay, I'm also in complete awe of this library! I can't even express how amazing it is.

So, without further ado, the current title of my book is...

Pining for You.

The story follows a mature romance author who falls for a solitary arborist and takes place in the Pocono Mountains with many scenes in Jim Thorpe. As I mentioned, it's fiction based on real events. It was a great experience to weave things that actually happened with my playful, creative spin and romantic heart. It's super meta. I explored a lot of deep emotions, and I hope it resonates with readers.

It's a romance, and has all the components that you would normally expect, including the required HEA (I would NEVER not have that!). But the book is much more. It explores how love is very personal and sometimes looks different than what society says it should. It's also about a mature woman's journey of self-discovery, healing, spirituality, community, and her ability to manifest a future in a time of uncertainty and having the faith to believe that there is a divine plan and that true, everlasting love exists.

I'll update with more as I know more!
